Tobogganing at the Experimental Farm Arboretum

On Monday, December 29, the weather was gorgeous and we just had to find a great hill in Ottawa to go tobogganing at, and we did . . . it was great!!! Although there were occasional trees (which were protected by bales) and oh, a river that wasn't frozen to sled into (hehehe!), and a steep incline to try and climb back up - it was a great place and we'll definitely be returning! We went with the Burns' family and the kids had a blast!

Katrina, Emma and Victoria taking a bit of a break at the bottom of the hill.

This is actually where the tree was . . . at the bottom of the sledding run - oh and can you see the open water?!?!?

Yep, Victoria, Katrina and Emma had to go out to the very edge of the ice . . . needless to say their moms were calling them right after the picture was taken . . . gotta take a picture, right?!?

Victoria, Katrina and Emma on the long walk up

Daddy and Navia getting ready for one of the few runs together . . . Navia was very independent and wanted to go by herself . . . even after running into the trees numerous times and getting bowled over by another tobogganer . . . yep . . . she's an independent one!!!

Just one of the numerous walks up with Navia - usually she was in the sled that Daddy was pulling up the hill

Navia having fun at the last little jump of the run

Kaleb getting up after one of his fast and furious runs . . . he liked the jumps that were on the hill!

A view of part of the walk up - Navia, Braden, Kaleb, Emma, Katrina, Victoria, Cynthia and Mike

Daddy heading down, ready to catch Navia when she comes

Mike and Navia watching the ducks swim around

Victoria, Emma and Katrina after a fun day of sledding

Can't you tell that Navia's not too happy about this picture . . . she's been told that she can't sneak another ride down . . . and Daddy is happy about that one :)
