Saturday at the Local "Carnival"

A little carnival has set up in the parking lot of our grocery store, so today was the day that we finally (according to the kids) went to go on the rides. The neat thing about this carnival is that it a portion of the proceeds from it will be going to the breakfast programs for the schools in Riverside South - pretty cool. So it didn't feel like you were totally wasting your money, but rather helping the schools - hehehe!

The rides were aimed more at younger ages (as that's what our area is made up of) but all the kids had a blast. We met friends down there so that Emma could have 2 girls her age to run around and do all the rides with - Katrina and Victoria.

Even Daddy got in on some of the rides where single riders weren't allowed so he'd just "have" to go with a child . . . nope - he really didn't mind very much . . . in fact he would ask a kid if he could go with them :)

There was a flash rain during the afternoon - Navia got on this ride when it was sunny and then within a minute it just started pouring . . . . and it was sunny again in about 4 minutes after this pictures was taken! The weather is crazy out here right now!!!

Daddy hanging out in the jungle with Navia

Navia on the Merry-Go-Round horse ride - for some reason I can't flip this picture so just turn your head to the right and you'll understand it - lol!

Kaleb and Emma on "The Spider" - they did this one alot!

Emma finally got brave enough to do the "Wave Rider" and had a blast. The other girls were feeling sick at the end of the day, but Emma even went on it all by herself - not feeling a thing! That's my girl!!!

The ferris wheel was another popular one - and Navia learned to quit putting her mouth on that dirty, disgusting bar!!! YUCK!!!

I love Kaleb's expression just before Emma gets him good with her bumper car!

So, we all had fun, but it really made us all miss living in Airdrie with our annual pass to Calaway Park . . . memories . . . maybe another time . . .
